The Experience
Discover the amazing wildlife of Udawalawe National Park in Sri Lanka with a 4-hour morning or evening safari. This safari is perfect for families, solo travellers, photographers, and nature lovers. Udawalawe is famous for its large herds of wild elephants — one of the best places in Asia to observe them up close in their natural habitat. The park also hosts crocodiles, spotted deer, water buffalo, peacocks, and occasionally leopards and wildcats, making every game drive a thrilling adventure.
Travel in a private 4×4 jeep with comfortable luxury seating, making the safari intimate and enjoyable for up to six passengers. An experienced English-speaking driver-guide will accompany you throughout the tour, explaining animal behaviour, the park's ecosystem, and conservation efforts — making the experience both educational and safe. The morning or evening timing is ideal for wildlife activity: morning safaris treat you to beautiful sunrises, while evening safaris offer stunning sunsets and equally excellent wildlife viewing.
Your package includes park entrance fees, private jeep transport, professional driver-guide service, hotel pickup and drop-off within the Udawalawe area, and all applicable taxes. Meals beyond light refreshments, personal expenses, gratuities, and pickups outside Udawalawe are not included. Guests should bring a hat, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, water, binoculars, and a camera. Please join us half an hour early for a hassle-free safari departure.
